CROSBY TYLER 2011 USA TOUR 4/17 THRU 5/29 - March 30, 2011

What happens when you blend back-porch bluegrass
with delta blues infused observations of the present day?
Then wrap it in a one man band assault?  Well, brothers and sisters ya have CROSBY TYLER........Two critically acclaimed albums 10 SONGS OF AMERICA TODAY and his current LECTRIC PRAYER have sent critics to the same 'hallelujah' that a fresh voice has emerged upon the Americana scene with lyrics and melodies that ring to the bones. Misfits, addicts, railroad kids, circus clowns, outlaws, truckers, down and outs compose  a repertoire of damaged songs of this  extraordinary tunesmith.  With influences from Dock Boggs, Roscoe Holcombe, Willie Dixon, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Skip James, Johnny Cash, RL Burnside, and T-Model Ford, he's worked hard at incorporating kick drum as a solo performer.

"It just has taken my act up a notch...I'm not just solo singer songwriter. The drum gives a different perspective besides the fact that I thought I never could do it musicianship wise.
It's difficult enough to write music and lyrics, sing, play guitar and rack harp, and now I'm kickin' a drum. I feel like a circus seal juggling balls and fish but I love it....."

It's this same enthusiasm that evokes a CROSBY TYLER show...Sing-along like a warm campfire to catchy twisted tales of society's dredges such as GOOD 'OL CIRCUS DAYS, then to a social commentary as topical as NO VEGANS HERE, a wicked machine-gun lyric attack on hunting and the meat industry.  It's this type of audaciousness that has infected his fans.  You'll either cry, laugh, be the chorus, wear a plastic nose, get drunk as a skunk, shake a few hips, stumble back home but not before ya get arrested by the police for vagrancy.

CROSBY TYLER rolls out for 2011 USA TOUR starting April 17th thru May 26th but dates added daily so keep updated by checking the calendar section at www.crosbytyler.com, the official website.  He will be heading up Northern California, dates in San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Oregon, Eugene, Medford, Portland, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Mississippi and more cities and states to be announced.

"We plan to cover new markets on this tour and I'm damn excited bout playin' in the South.....That's where  a lot of my inspiration comes from.....Deep Southern blues and gospel mixed with the Appalachians.”

You wouldn't expect this from a Los Angeles native.

"I think people can be a little misconstrued of California and Los Angeles culture. Sure it's transient, Hollywoodish,  but there are some damn talented musicians from Cali and Los Angeles. The standards for music have always been high here.  I've always been a sponge for anythin' great. The audiences here are always supportive and open to new sounds as well as traditional."
